Email your app version, device model, Android version, the screen involved and the steps that led to the problem. Use invented player names when explaining a score problem. What does PipRound do?

PipRound keeps scores for an in-person Mexican Train domino game with 2–12 players. It is not a digital domino game, a camera tile scanner or an official rules referee. There is no PipRound account, subscription or cloud game sync.

Set the round order your table uses

Start a new game, add player names and choose a double-6, double-9, double-12, double-15 or double-18 set. Choose descending, ascending, blank-first or enter a custom comma-separated engine order. For double-9, blank-first uses 0, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. A custom list can be shorter than the full set, but each engine must be in range and appear only once. Check the preview before starting; player order and engine sequence are then locked for that game.

Enter each player's final score, including your table's blank penalty. The blank-penalty note is a reminder; PipRound does not add it to a score for you. Empty fields are different from a score of zero, so every player needs a value before the round can be saved.

Correct a saved score or undo a round

Open the earlier round and save the corrected scores. Totals are recalculated from saved scores; the lowest total leads, with shared ranks for a tie. Undo last saved round removes only the latest round and brings its values back into the draft for that engine. If there is a newer unfinished draft, read the overwrite confirmation before continuing.

To undo a completed game, first finish or discard any other active game. PipRound allows one active game at a time. Finish game early marks the actual number of completed rounds; a game with no saved round can only be discarded. Play again copies the rules and names to new-game setup while keeping the old result.

Resume a draft or handle a saving error

Successful draft saves stay on the device. Resume opens the current game and its saved position. Wait for saving to finish before leaving the score screen. If Retry saving appears, keep the app open and retry; text that never reached a successful local save is not guaranteed after a forced stop or device failure.

Do not uninstall or clear app storage as an initial troubleshooting step. A storage or database failure is not treated as an empty game, and we cannot remotely restore records that were never backed up.

Back up before changing devices

  1. Open Settings → Backups and data and save a JSON backup.
  2. Choose a location you control and check that the file was saved successfully.
  3. On the other installation, choose Import and replace from JSON, review the record counts and confirm only when you want to replace all current game data.

Backups are manual and unencrypted. Keep them private and make a backup of the destination installation before replacing its records. A JSON import replaces rather than merges; an empty backup can also remove current games. Appearance and privacy choices remain separate. PipRound's backup file names use the internal prefix “trainledger”.

CSV exports let you read or share saved scores in a spreadsheet. They cannot restore games or unfinished drafts. Core file operations work locally, but a cloud location you select in Android's file picker may need its own network connection. The app does not automatically upload or sync your backup.

Delete game data or request help with privacy

Delete a game from its saved summary, or use Settings → Backups and data → Delete all game data. Review the confirmation carefully. Deleting local records does not delete files you exported or copies held by people or services you shared them with. Those copies need to be managed separately.

For privacy requests about information you sent to support, email us with the subject “PipRound privacy request”. There is no account-deletion sign-in because PipRound has no user accounts. Read the PipRound Privacy Policy for advertising, analytics, retention and contact details.

Ads, analytics and offline use

Banner ads may appear only when you open an eligible saved game summary, with at most three advertising opportunities per game. There are no ads while entering or editing scores. An unavailable ad or failed consent check does not block the scorekeeper. There are no rewarded, interstitial or app-open ads.

Use Settings → Privacy and ad choices for advertising privacy options when available. Optional usage analytics is off by default and is a separate choice. Declining personalized ads does not always prevent limited ads or all advertising measurement. Scorekeeping, local history and the in-app privacy explanation remain available offline.
